NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

The unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometers from Nairobi's bustling city center but despite its proximity over 50 species of mammals can be found there, including four of the Big Five. The tour also includes a visit to the animal orphanage at the park gate. The tour returns to the city center by sundown. (4 hours )

BOMAS OF KENYA – 3 HRS
You will be treated to a rich traditional music and dance show at this cultural center. Bomas of Kenya is only ten kilometers from the city center.

Carnivore Experience:

Guaranteed daily at 12.30 p.m. and 7.00p.m. Nairobi has many restaurants offering varieties of cuisine. We recommend a dinner or lunch at the Carnivore, which is famous for the succulent stew and barbecue dishes of game meat as an excellent compliment to a holiday in Kenya; especially as an excellent welcome, or farewell dinner.

Karen Blixen and Giraffe Center:

Drive towards the Ngong Hills and pass the Ngong village to the Karen Blixen Museum, for many years, her home. Later proceed to the Giraffe Center to see and feed the famous Rothschild Giraffe and her family.

Tana River Rafting - 1 Day

One day trip ideal for people with a day or two to spare when visiting Nairobi, or those basing themselves in the capital (only 100km’s along the Nyeri Rd). An exciting day of thrills (and often spills) with a great mix of high action whitewater (up to grade V) interspersed with scenic calm water where birdlife abounds.

Rift Valley /Lake Nakuru - Full Day

Enjoy the view of the Great Rift Valley from the escarpments and then descend to the Lake Nakuru National Park. A game drive to view thousands of flamingo and other bird species in addition to viewing the white and black Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo and Waterbuck among others. Lunch is served at either Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge.

LOST PARADISE - 1 DAY

Leave Nairobi and drive to the largest picnic site in Kenya, the grounds here cover 54 acres. This is the home of the Stone Age caves and trees thought to be hundreds of years old while the river reeds have stories to tell of centuries past and people long dead, which lead to a waterfall about 10m long which feeds a dammed river flowing past the picnic site. Activities include feeding the Maasai ostriches, bird watching touring the coffee plantation, horse and camel riding, boat riding and fishing for black bass.

CHIMPANZEE SANCTAUARY TOUR - 1 DAY

Depart Nairobi and drive north past pleasant countryside with coffee and tea plantations. Stop at Karatina town, then taking picnic lunches with you, proceed to Sweet Waters Game Reserve. The Chimpanzee Sanctuary here is home to more than 26 orphaned chimpanzee age varying from 2 to 15 years most of which came from the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi. The latest addition is Baby zee, rescued from a pet shop in the United Arab Emirates. Return to Nairobi in the evening.
